Incubating shipped eggs

Well I took a leap and ordered 2 doz eggs. I've always incubated eggs of my own and never had any shipped in. I'm thinking about letting them settle for 6-8 hrs then putting them in. I'm also thinking of not turning the turner on for a few days. What does everyone else do?

I let them "settle" for about ten or twelve hours then put them in the box and incubate as per usual.

its A LOT of reading but proved VERY helpful and right up the alley from answering your questions about what other people do with shipped eggs.

I myself have shipped eggs in the bator right now, and found it very helpful. good luck
