Congrats on the hatchlings! I add a buck per week for cost of care. We had our first babies go off to their new home. We still have about a dozen and 30ish In the hatcher and I'm filling the incubator today! I don't think more than 30ish are going in... I find that I dislike putting more than that in to hatch... Annoys me specially lol. I got some dom eggs because I hatch my own roosters and I would like one so hopefully we get a boy but I mention this because the person who was taking my other rooster backed out and the new guy won't respond... He's such a good bird I hate to have him butchered... Big guy too!! Might give him some hens I guess I pulled him out of the coop but he could have some I guess... His chicks are so cute!! Anyway I hope they respond soon!!Hello everyone today is day 21 most have hatched already. . Got a full box... some of the people that wanted chicks are not responding. Yikes. . Anyone have chick veal before...just kidding
Also I know some places have them you can rent for school or 4h type projects. Sometimes you can call around if it's just for one project someone might even help you set it up. I learned this when I suggested hatching to a fellow homeschooler... Can be very nice to save $
let me guess you entered the share a laughI think one of them but I don't usually take pics of my birds.
Oh I forgot about that one, maybe two contests than..........I think.let me guess you entered the share a laugh

Dropping by! And with a very "what" inducing link.

Old Farmer's Almanac had an article shared today about setting eggs by the astrological moon sign for healthier, faster maturing chicks at hatch. Thoughts?
I've heard of it, never looked into it. I believe there was (or is) a thread about it.
