If I do this should I take out the one egg that's not pipped or leave it? Do I have to worry about it exploding?
I don't worry about exploders unless the incubator stinks. I remove all leakers and stinkers.

How did the class go yesterday?
It went great. Thanks for asking. The seven 4 day old chicks were a hit.
I think some of the people are signing up for next weeks class as well.
Each class is different cause I try to target it for their needs even though some general information is consistent. Some people live in the city and plan on 4 hens, some may want to incubate and some may live in a more rural area and plan on having huge numbers and roosters.

How do you like your Brahmas? I'm thinking about ordering some.

Brahmas are nice but tend to go broody a lot and aren't extremely productive.

@FireAntFarmer weren't you asking about potable water hoses?
I ended up getting three 50' hoses from HD delivered. If memory serves, they were about $19 ea. and free shipping. I ended up being about 15' short. I then went to Lowe's to get a short one. They had 25' hoses for $20. But I found a single 100' drinking water safe, lead free, BPA free, blah, blah, blah hose on the shelf with no price. It was $35 but not a stock item and was discontinued. I told the young guy working the department my dilemma. I only needed 15' but wondered whether it was wise to spend $20 on 25' when I could get 100' for less than double. He said, since it was a non stock item he'd mark it down to $20. So I now have 250' of drinking water safe hoses for less than $80. Counting all the rest of the hose I have well over 600' of hose. I won't have to buy any again as long as I live here. The nonsafe hoses are heavy duty professional hoses too. A few have repair sections so any that are iffy with bulges, I may toss.

It's my one and only so I can't comment as to my like of them.....actually I guess I can, they have feathered feet so I don't like them

I'm with you, I've sworn off of feathered footed, crested (ie. silkies, polish, houdans, etc.) poor producers, slow, docile, cumbersome and otherwise frostbite or predator prone birds.

I don't have the time or demeanor to coddle needy chickens.
