Did you get the line out of the pond? @heatherfeather7

Yes, I found the line in the yard. We have random people come and fish and I have to regularly chase them off the property, and I'm guessing one of them lost their line. He had the floater and all hanging behind his poor leg. All good now. I really wasn't sure how I was going to get it off of him, so I'm glad he got it off. @Sally Sunshine

Try pulling the plug & spritzing a bit of starting fluid in the plug hole; usually works for me. While the plug's out burn off any oil on the cathode (L shaped dealie on the end) with a lighter, and make sure the plug wire's seated good & snug.
If I ever buy one again after the last one that worked three times :duc I will remember that, but for now my scythe will do. I live in the country on a dead end lane at the end.

Ok so I'm studying my book again, yes I'm a bookworm lol.. anyways it said bantams should have a higher humidity during hatch time because they lose more then normal size eggs. For those here who hatch silkies what do you keep your humidity at during hatch time?

Quote: I came up on a Canada Goose chick several years ago at the local fishing hole with a length of monofilament line wrapped around its leg, and momma right behind it. he other end of the line was tangled in a bush. Momma was a bit antsy with me being that close to her baby, but I got hold of the line & started slowly walking up to them. I never got close enough to unwrap the line, but at least it broke & baby was able to swim away. I hope the line eventually unwound itself, but I never saw them again to find out for sure.
