Is it a new bator or has it hatched before?

It has hatched before I got 8 chicks out of 24 eggs but it was a first time and I had screwed it up so it was my fault

Re-enlistment complied with. AF has me for another 5. That will put me at 20.5 years and I can retire or keep at it for a bit longer. The pool on the tripod stand over the fire looks pretty sweet. Glad the storm wasn't any worse Local.

I wouldn't stress it, always learn from what you done. We don't all always get great hatches.

Just wondering if you disinfected the bator between batches. Especially the Styrofoam ones.

I make a 10% bleach solution avoiding the electrical parts as much as possible and then set in the sun
The sunset radiation combined with the bleach means almost nothing detrimental lives in your bator.

If you can't set in the sun you can just fire up the bator and it will dry it out nicely. Just be sure the various electrical connections aren't soaked before ya plug it in

yeppers bleach and sun works wonders.
