CH, you and me are the only ones up right now!!

I candled my Swedish Flower Hen eggs, going into lock down on Sunday. Forgot to candle yesterday. And i took pics! So, these eggs only came from Portland, OR, an 6-8 hr car ride depending on the weather/drivers. Received 12, 2 were clear at day 10, 1 blood ring. 9 going strong!

Yeah, the SFH are the last batch for me while living with my in-laws. Got the stink eye from the last package received LOL. I chalk it up to a couple of things: 1. we are giving between 5 and 10 to one of our friends to replenish her aging chickens. My MIL originally wanted ~4 but changed her mind. 2. I am perfecting technique now, and then we'll move to bigger and better things in our new house (ducks, geese, turkeys, etc). 3. Great learning experience!

I figure I'll take part in the Easter HAL lol!

And to @CrazyChickLady7, with a strong enough light and white/cream colored duck egg shells the enlarged blastoderm is visible at 2 days... that is very hard to see though... veining starts about day 4, but sometimes isn't clear til day 6... by day 7 clear and visible development will show in fertile and viable eggs...
