Lately I choose the latter.

I don't know about the new name though.
I had switched to bud ice for a long time cause it was so much cheaper. Bud is on sale at a warehouse place now.

When I kept birds, my roo always insisted on sleeping onTOP of the coop and I just let him... Yes, I am kind of lazy.

The last time I got lazy like that I lost 2 good hens. There were 4 hens and a rooster sleeping up there when I locked up. I had to leave for a bit so I figured I'd catch them when I got home. I thought if a raccoon came up there they could feel it and fly off. 3 made it and 2 didn't.

Bummer, probably not the best advice dependent on where you live.

Describe your brooder setup.

I took and worked on it at my old shop it wasn't the type of job I wanted to work on at home.
I miss working on my old hoist....some day I hope to build a garage and have a hoist again.

Looks like my turn for chick problems now.....

While checking the chicks today, I noticed they seem skinny. (2 chicks)

They are alert, bright-eyed, and active.

I do not have any pictures of their poop, but all poop in the brooder (they share with 4 guineas, all of which seem to have a healthy weight) is normal. No blood.

They are being fed Purina flock raiser, which is not medicated.

Their brooder is clean, dry paper shavings with a seed starting mat for heat. Ambient temp is about 75 degrees f.

They are 19 days old.

I will get weights on them shortly.

Am I overreacting? Should I just feed them scrambled egg and see if that helps?

What did I forget to add info-wise?

My wife is out on the town tonight celebrating the 50th birthday of her friend's daughter. They have a bus that's going to drive them around town. McGurks Irish pub in Soulard is the start and winding around town till they end up at the casino.

I guess that means I'm going to shoot pool as soon as the chickens get put to bed and locked up. I always have a couple that insist on sleeping on top of a pen so I have to keep catching them. I have a net hanging on that pen all the time.

What time you picking me up for pool.

Hello all! I didn't read all the pages i am behind sorry. I am incubating JG eggs again, sensor is taped this round so it can not fall below the eggs this time. On day9 with 11 wiggling, 4 no grows and 6 I can't see through the darn shell.
On a side note I like Jameson better than Crown (My Dads fault for putting me in touch with my Irish ancestry)and Budweiser Black Crown is currently beside me and going down way to good. Hope I have enough they are hard to find!

Hmmmm I have a friend with 6 (I think) of the boogers but we don't know how to sex them
