What a morning! Happy Father's Day to Mike and Ken (for now)!!!
Happy Father's Day to the others when they get up!

I was up before six, and went back to sleep (kinda). I was annoyed to be awake again at quarter of seven, and someone texted me at seven. So, scratch the dog's stomach while saying morning prayers.
Go do my "thing" in another room, and get the coffee started while I check the flock.
They were an odd (er than usual) bunch this morning! No idea what the Pekins were quacking about! Maybe someone was in the drake's way. He LOVES me, and would have been ticked to be kept from me.
Then I ... You guys know what morning chores are. Sorry!
There is a black chick in my coop. Unless one of the SPR changed to all black for a while, I have a neighbor's chick.
I tried counting my own chicks, but they kept running around! I will try again later.
I did see my trio of grey chickens. I still think I will keep the trio to see what they produce.
And I was given a compliment (I think. But some would not. They are meanies though.

) this morning. It throws me when that happens.

Wonder who was awake enough to compliment anyone. I'm surprised my eyes are even focused yet.

thanks, ya second one is soon. August. And the hatch went well, 7/9 had to help the last one out, zipped super early but dried out inside the shell a bit. The tank works and well, the last two never internally pipped.

Congrats Zach! @attimus August tell your wife to shoot for the 5th!

3rd incubator hatch of the year off without a hitch- 5 eggs got tossed after - I don't think they developed or finished developing or whatever but I really never could see in them. They didn't have that nice animal inside heft to them though and one was clearly rotting... The rest hatched great - basically all 3 of our hatches went like this, I just put the last batch till July in the hatcher this afternoon and it's a relief. Also I could see inside these so I only put in ones that at least were developed so hopefully that goes well. First hatch was 17, 2nd was 22 and 3rd was 26

also we bought some silkies. We sold one silkie and some chicks but I should probably sell a few more lol... They're really cute though
