just checked the bator temp down to 83, looked at the cord must have kicked it when I checked the eggs last night, ahh well fingers crossed

Morning everybody! Unfortunately I have to work today... But I did get all of the taxes done last week so I don't have to worry about that!

Well, I watched for a while, and a couple of the other CL girls in that coop are now looking a bit iffy to me.

I know stress can bring Mareks on, manifesting illness, and this has been a hot week. I'm glad I'm getting a necropsy, though - on the chance it's something else, like worms or something - I was going to worm them just as a matter of course, but didn't want to if they were looking unwell. I should get an answer in a day or so, so I will wait until then.

All right..So I am in a need for a little bit of help with my current incubating, Which has led me to this thread.

If you whish to see the progress of the incubation etc. it is all in this thread where I have received some great information from @Bantychooks https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1111831/mustang-has-decided-incubating-time

But long story short I had originally placed 16 eggs in the bator (A Janeol 12 brought via CrazySales.com which is being used without the automatic turner) and now as it comes down to day 16 my eggs have rapidly decreased over the days leaving me with two eggs. One that died yesterday is shown in my original post when I did eggtospy on it hoping to find some sort of solution to the problem..

Its really racking my mind and its left me questioning if I'll make it to lockdown

Morning Sally. They were all first time mommas. The splash cochin hatched two and killed them both, so I gave her the boot. The BCM had hatched three and had an egg left last night. She and the HRIR are good fierce mommas. The BCM is in a broody suite and HRIR just on the floor in the corner of the coop, so literally any other flock member could've walked by and killed that baby. It's so hot they aren't staying under mama.
