:frow how is the weather in Maine?
Cooler than here. It's 99 now and may get between 103 and 107. As @daxigait so eloquently pointed out, that's with high humidity. It is brutal.
no thanks, I am already leaking enough fluids
When I was up there we tried swimming in the ocean it was freezing in August! We then found an inland lake to swim in lol
the atlantic is ALWAYS freezing!
not down this way
We cant receive or send eggs abroad but I think that a good idea is using one of this This polystyrene pool nuddl , the egg can enter nicely in the middle, and you can cut it in any size needed.
too expensive lol, this is cheaper, alhtough not near as festive
when we watched them, they not only ate the leaves they crunched on the vines and roots yanking on them and chewing them. I guess lol, I got some huge duck eggs packed in light bulb packaging, I was impressed lol

I forget who was trying to explain the ziplock water wiggler thing for internal estimates of egg temps but this one has images.

This is so simple and it works great!

You will need:
3 sandwich size ziploc bags
2 rubberbands or hairties

First fill a ziploc bag about 1/4 with water.
Then zip it closed and try to get all the air out.

Then for spill safety put it in another bag.
If you have OCD (like me)

Put those into yet another bag.
Triple bag it, and try to get air out of each bag as you go.

Then lay your probe from your thermometer in the middle section of
the bags of water and roll it up tucking in the zipper part.
Then put 2 hairties or rubberbands on each end to secure it.

Then place it seam side down in the incubator and there you have it!
