Is that a savory waffle?! It looks like gravy. That sounds so good!

It is a cinnamon roll (homemade) made in a waffle iron. I have "mad ninja skills" with a waffle iron!

Actually, Sally and a few others apparently do too. Kathy shared a link for a $9 cook book all about cooking in a waffle iron.

So, hello and welcome. I hope you visit often! Good luck with your babies!

CC are you familiar with this breed? The Orust? It is wonderful one! See the color of its shanks! I WOULD love for a couple of them!

Does anyone on here have any of these? The chicks are $99 each at Greenfire.... I found 2 people selling the eggs on ebay, saying they got their stock from Greenfire, but their photos show their roos looking almost fully black. No pictures of the hens.

Everyone on this thread is going to tell you the exact same thing. Hey kiddo, we are all rooting for you.... But if you continue to question everyone.... Not a lot of people are gonna want to help. Just take a deap breathe and think about your chicks symptoms and what you have learned so far.

Wasn't someone on here hatching some Orust eggs a little while back? I remember adorable panda chicks... (Or was that another thread?)

Not sure why I went to Lowes - they didn't have it. I went on Amazon, but then was thinking that I don't have permanent fences, rather temporary paddock fences all over (5-6 different ones). So I decided to go with some of those flexible extendable "cobra" like misters for now, as more flexible/mobile. I'll look into something like the other system when/if I have a more permanent set up, but too many things getting moved around right now. But thanks so much of the idea because it prompted me to get off my tush finally to get them (had been meaning to)...

I have one pen/paddock that doesn't get as much shade as I'd like (the others all have plenty) - it's in a temporary location, and gets morning sun only, but morning sun gets hot, too. The birds in that paddock already have a kiddie school table for shade/shelter (which they love, but I'm building some shade structures out of pallets this weekend (including one over their foot bath - I've been having to ice it, don't have to ice the others as they stay cool).

I think I'm going to have to do some trimming and yard work before I can use my culling/processing alcove again...

You see, how this works is, you come on this forum and ask a question. People then answer the question. Then you take the advice and run with it.
It is wise to question what is on the internet, but when 20 people give the exact same advice - that many people can't be wrong.

awah you love them.
