I tried that for YEARS - it was always either underdone/uncooked in the center or over cooked. I never got the hang of it. I was convinced that I could just never bake bread. Then I started using a thermometer - now I bake all my own bread.![]()

I'm up (have been up a while), trying to clear my head of a nasty headache I woke up with this morning. Waiting for pain meds to kick in - and I have to be sitting upright (if I stay in bed, pressure in my head just makes it worse). Can't stomach eggs - yogurt is working ok so far.
Looks to be a busy week for me - If I don't keep up, thanks again everyone for listening to me/hugging me over my difficult cull day yesterday (I can't imagine having to do that "alone"). Sally, try the bread again (either my version/instructions or Ron's) - use the thermometer and let it cool - those are two things that help avoid the outcome you were having. MC, please stop drinking gross stuff in the AM.![]()
I'll see you guys on the flip side.![]()

Okay, so it really bothered me to learn that someone at the feed store said this to runt325, so I found this:Quote:

@runt325 , bookmark this post and show it to the employees at the feed store the next time you are there, because the person that said that it wasn't safe or that it wasn't for chickens is misinformed.
