They are setting up to do some farm work in my field and I have 34 chickens out. My border collie Ellie is amazing, she got them all in from several locations in a couple minutes. She listens so well now it is almost like she uses her eyes, ears and nose as well as mine. She is so gentile with the big fat ones, the one that lost a foot as a chick and any I command her to do so. If I point and say "naughty chicken". It is game on and that chicken WILL be back in the flock. Ellie has gotten agressive with chickens, but only by command and she is 1,000 times easier on them than they are on each other when the favorite treats are served.
Thats awesome!!

I posted this pics in the past to compare an organic free range fresh egg, the yellow one, comper to my eggs!
its pretty amazing

Once it's dead and cooked, it's just meat.

ewwwwww

I don't give them the fresh ones, because they don't eat them. I do sprinkle some of the dried hot peppers in their feed, but not the really hot ones like my ghost chilis, or habaneros.

YOU SHOULD give them hot peppers! I always add extrim hot paprika in their feed! It is one of the grate preventer ( not cureing) of worms and other Pathogens. The active ingredient, Capsaicin, is one of the most potent substance out there! GIVE HOT PEPPERS TO YOUR CHICKEN ON A DAILY BASIS!

They dont feel it, try and see!

And why can I replace a perfectly good mailbox with another and not have to get federal permission?
I had to.

The best eggs that I have ever had! And I am not joking! The flavor of that yolk was amazing! Add hot paprika you will get much healthier birds with wonderful eggs!

I got my dishes done, and the dog bathed. I am might kill the dog today. Yup. Very possible.
I went to get him for his bath. I caught him peeing in the house. If you remember this situation from before, you remember that he only has a problem when his allergies or the weather have him drinking a lot of water. I don't blame him. Doesn't mean I like it! So I scolded him, but he was done. So, into the tub. He somehow had a gob of poop stuck to his butt. Fun!
Out of the tub, and it was time to cut the hair away from his private areas that I avoided the other day when shaving him down.
I dealt with laundry, then went to get the table I was going to designate the butchering table out of storage. Ummmm... I don't think that is happening. It will take me twenty minutes or so just to get to it! I have to get off here, and see if I can't find an alternative. If not, I have to get that table out.

Everything else is ready for today.
