What would cause a hen that normally lays an egg the
color of the one on the right to suddenly start laying one
colored like the one on the left? Had two like that in the
past few days. The paint booth guy run out of paint?

Are the shells the same thickness as the darker eggs?

After my disastrous results with the five hen episode I'd vote for hatching. Seems they fight over the chicks or one of them just didn't know what to do with the squirming things. Tough call as it's much easier for the hen to take care of them.
I would give them back once they are hatched.

Personally, I'd leave them be and whatever hatches would be fine with me. If you want the best hatch rate, incubate the eggs and distribute the chicks.

Yeah, letting them do their thing is probably a good idea. I will keep an eye on them and change plans as I must. I guess the brooder and incubator aren't going into the basement today though.
Everyone have a good morning, I'm going to eat and try to get some things done around the house.

Day 24 is getting a little late. What was your temps and humidity at. Also how well did the two hatch, were they sticky or hatch cleanly

about how long between the last hatched and the ones left
