Hi everyone! I'm asking for more help. One of my chicks finally hatch but I don't know what to do know. My chicken feed won't be here until 9pm (Amazon) and I'm not sure if I should leave the chick in the incubator. He's starting to dry off but he keeps chirping and eating his shell and laying on the other shell left in the incubator. How long should I leave it in the incubator. He's been out of his shell for about an hour now.

She said she was not going to be on byc anymore

I got the same message Banti got.

That is a real shame.

There was just a report on the local news of a guy across the river from me walking down the street NAKED carrying an assault rifle. He was firing at people randomly. A woman walked out on her front porch and he fired at her but missed and hit her house. State police responded. They ordered him to put the rifle down but he aimed it at them instead. They shot him and he's been transported to the hospital to treat his wounds. Police said they've had dealings with him before and he appears to have mental issues. Ya' think?
What was their first clue?

Congrats! He'll be fine until then. You can take him out whenever he is mostly dry if there are no other pips.

The chick is fine up to a couple of days so don't panic, especially if there are others pipping that could get shrink wrapped.
Welcome!

It can wait till tonight or tomorrow morning to eat. That's why day old chicks can be shipped in the mail.

@shauntell79 When you take it out after it dries, make sure your brooder is at temperature, and you put in a damp towel to keep the humidity up.
Congratulations.
