If you mean are Dominiques productive or lay good size eggs, yes they are good at eggs. 230-275 medium to large eggs per year. They are also a good meat bird and good foragers. They are listed on the RAFT Slow Food Ark of Taste. Probably more than we know or should expect. If you don't know what color egg he came from, all bets are off. I try to give each broody all the same color eggs. Caring for a child as you do is a tough thankless job except for the joy it brings you. Good plan. Do your dogs roam inside or outside the 6' fence. I need to work on my perimeter. It is all brush and good hiding places for ground dwelling predators. Lunch is leftover sushi from last night's late dinner. And a beer. The dipping sauce is low sodium gluten free organic Tamari. :lau
I will take the beer! :D She is two today. Her personality is quite interesting these days. :lau She said she loved me the other day. It was great!

I don't think I use those tools correctly. They don't do me much good.

 Can you give me tips on getting grass out of the garden anyway?

Napalm.

Way Togo!!! It took me twenty minutes to talk myself into vacuuming.

It took me about three days to talk myself into vacuuming yesterday! :lau
If you knew how afraid of worms I am, you would understand how amazing it is that I actually got anything done in the garden! I prefer snakes over worms. Worms are known to crawl into your shoes and hair and shirts and mouth... They will kill you!!! I don't really like garter snakes either. I like the ball pythons and boa constrictors.

If you want to see a nightmare worms effect
Google " elefantiasis" but I worn you it isn't a pretty sight!

Well you are not suppose to put them in your hair and shoes and shirt. Silly!!! And you only eat them when nobody likes you and everybody hates you. So you are free and clear!!!

That is interesting.
Yea cause those are so much safer than worms

Yes, they are! :p

My dogs are inside the fence and beyond the fence is just more woods.  I have 3 big dogs (a Boxer, a Blue Tick, and a German Shepherd mix) who are great at keeping uninvited guests out (the 2 legged variety too! HAHA!).

...

I thought that was beer holder?

I have one of those too.

I went outside to get some work done on the turkey pen. I was hoping for the entire thing to get done, but any work would have been better than none.
I could not find my zip ties, so went out anyway to see what I could figure out/plan.
It was then that I remembered the second thing I needed to go outside for.

I do not know how I forgot about the garden needing more work. I began pulling some grass, then took a bunch of pictures to show you guys. I was hoping someone could give me an idea of how I was supposed to get the grass out of between the plants. I decided to do some more work so that the plants could at least be identified. Before I knew it, the garden looked pretty good.

This is the best tool I've found for the job.
Local big box stores carry them.

You aren't supposed to crawl around in the earth.
