I can't win today.

For the larger batches, I want to have one of my good incubators running with reliable turners that don't count on me to do so.

Yea I read the full write up on that first study. The other study I read was in regards to duck eggs.

Morning!!! Does anyone have advice on how to move a broody? The eggs are on day 18 or 19... We are going out of town Wednesday (hatch day), naturally. I have a rabbit hutch I think I can move her to...or should I go get a wire dog crate?

I wouldn't move her at all right now, if you can avoid it-- you may actually have chicks hatching at this moment! My broody hens hatch around day 19, always early. Is there any way you can wait until they all hatch?

Move her at night if you can. The hutch will work fine.

I've never moved one, there is a broody thread, someone there might be able to answer.
