Sally, I have a question..... How much electricity does one of your coolerbators use? I have a friend who wants to make one (I have my enabler badge now!!) but she's on solar so she can't make something that uses a lot of power. I'd test mine, but I know it uses too much due to it not being insulated enough...... Thanks
What paddler said. :thumbsup I am really not worried about running something like that for a 21 day time frame lol It saves electric to run the big cabinet than several of the small ones I have. obviously more heat sinks even though a bit larger area. Having a GOOD insulated cooler is KEY
Oh, I never mentioned, I get got rid of all my dirty, disgusting webbed footed burds. No more webbers splashing in the muck. Well, I might still have some in the freezer, but these didn't go there.
oh stop that!!! you know you like the disgusting creatures!! both alive and ummmm on yer plate!
Shalom Jessimom (Kathy! ) First paracord bracelet have made from your paracords!
very nice benny!!!
Newbie question... I'm on lockdown how do I keep my humidity around 60-70 if I can't get in?? Thanks in advance
Dont panic, lockdown just means dont mess with the eggs and keep opening the bator, adding water is fine, better to make sure its full when you see those first pips, and try to avoid after that, but its better to add water than to not! see if anything here may help hold it better so you dont have to open it up. Good luck!!! did you show any draw down when you candled at lockdown? Morning Whites, have a good run.
Howdy, Dear Lady...good to see you
You too :hugs hows that mean roo been acting?
Not growing up with livestock makes poultry keeping a much bigger learning curve. Mammal babies is much different than hatching eggs. All you can do is adhere to good incubation guidelines. 99.5F at the middle of the egg, enough humidity so the eggs lose 0.65% weight per day, turn as often as possible, raise the humidity at the end and then don't open the incubator till they're all hatched. As Linda said, just learn with each new endeavor.
I had a mentor from BYC that talked to me everyday and asked me what I saw and told me to remember. She was very encouraging and said that every mistake was a chance to learn. She is pretty awesome.
You sure killed that hatch didnt you Love?
Thanks Sally!
