How is your build going? I must have missed updates.
Right with you on the lil Giant Bator. I tape the heat/humidity sensor so it hangs from the lid, then I have to turn the darn thing down since it runs hot. Think I may shop first a bigger better one for next year and use this on for a hatcher especially with quail.

I have a big homemade one I need to replace some parts on if I ever get a whole 5 hours or more free.

I borrowed my handy dandy thermo/hygro from the bator; have it sitting beside me. Reading 84*, but only 54% RH with the dehumidifier running 30' away...somewhat comfortable, for now. We have one AC we're not even using ATM; may have to fire that sucker up here pretty quick.

Our AC has been running almost every day for 2 months. Both of them.

Is that emoji an implication we're in the looney bin already?

I let this one go. I scared the heck out of it though. I am not sure it will want the free food next time. I will be filling up the barrel tonight or tomorrow. I really do hate to make it suffer by drowning it, but life is pain.

Fireplugs??? My family is bit more spread out thankfully, lolol! Mom's side came from the hills, and I have kin that make me stand back and say" Ohhhhhhh hell noooo", but we are an entertaining bunch. The here hold my beer type! Oh my goodness! In Ohio, a fire hydrant fire hydrant is called a fire plug.

Never heard that one, we call em hydrants. One was just put in down by my driveway, still a quarter mile off. Would be charged by city fire dept if we ever needed them. They charged our old neighbor for a call them got the truck stuck trying to back out the driveway.

Lol, BantyChooks I have that coming from people too, how many birds do you have? You are nuts! Hubby keeps asking if I am done hatching for the year yet, then asks me about getting peafowl next year. OK fine, I am a tad obsessed recently but I can rock my type of crazy! 51 birds and hope for a few more to hatch!

30 something, just sold 12. Also have 21 eggs incubating.
