My pallet coop! I designed it to look like an old southern-styled dog trot house. Chickens on the left, goats on the right.

Welcome back! It has been a while. Congratulations! DW & I celebrated 50 last month.
Thanks for the welcome back. Congratulations on your 50th. Not many people can claim fame to that anymore. I know I sure will never get there now. Too old:) And although I was never trying to go for the Guinness World Book of Records,this last one is #4. Started too young. First two were divorces, previous one died after 23 years together.Never thought I'd go and do it again, but I'm very happy, so glad I said, I do :)

Can anyone tell me what breed my weird rooster, Oops, is?
Also, below is a pic of a little hen I bought together with Oops. Any idea what breed she could be? They are both fairly young,and I think they might both be bantams. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Also, we just lost our 2 year old Delaware, Hazel,yesterday morning. She was lying near the coop door, and I thought she was dead. When I opened the door, she opened her eyes. I picked her up and,OMW, she felt like feathers and bones. I rushed her in the house,and got a couple drops of Pedialyte in her mouth. She turned her head,leaned it on my chest and died.I chose not to have her necropsied.I went ahead and buried her. She was not acting herself the day before,but it's been excruciatingly hot here,so I just tried keeping an eye on her. I took this pic the day before she passed. She looked pretty plump and healthy,I thought. Darn, it's a good thing I just bought those 7 new 2 month old hens,bc we are down now to just three adult layers. Here's Hazel.

@ChickenCanoe

You told me, when I started construction on this new building,about some concrete blocks you use under your 4x4 supports for coops. I tried to use them, only to discover they're not available to fit 6x6's.

Now I need a couple to put under 4x4's. Lowes has them...I've seen them there,,,,I just can't remember what they're called. Any idea?

Never mind...just found them
