This takes the record as the smallest pullet egg I have ever had. Especially from a Leghorn. It is in a small spoon

That is smaller. The point of this one goes beyond a quarter, but not much.i got one the size of a quarter once AND it had a yolk!
I had all my hatch info on my phone when I accidentally reformatted it. Going back through, trying to recreate - I'm guessing on a lot.how old is it? And is it mixed with anything that has a flat comb like a dom? I see golden seabright in the wings but doesn't look like full blooded.
its funny how birds do thatThat is smaller. The point of this one goes beyond a quarter, but not much.
Hi!Hey all
I think it looks LF, like a maran/brahma maybe cochinI had all my hatch info on my phone when I accidentally reformatted it. Going back through, trying to recreate - I'm guessing on a lot.
This group all hatched in April - the first or second group after the easter HAL -- so 4 months? I did hatch seabrights, but they are between 6 to 10 weeks old, and they were all bantams - and turned out all to be male.
This one would have been from eggs that I purchased and I don't know of any seabright in the history of eggs I purchased.
CONGRATS!!!!!
I try to keep it around 40%...i had just added water, the humidity sensor spikes up for about an hour when I add.
Thanks for the links! I'm no pro....but I'm learning. Lol
I'm hoping I have a few hatch.
I love this thread.![]()
so cute!!!!!
ughhh I just ordered eight of the sameI'll make 'em up for anybody who needs them, 'til my supply runs out. I just went back & counted; have 70 left.
I don't want any payment other than postage; happy to do it for you guys. I've learned a lot, laughed a lot 'til I couldn't breathe, & "met" a raft of good, decent folks since this house was built, and prior to that on Sally previous thread...even met a couple of you face-to-face who I was privileged to spend some time with & hope to again. The entire experience has enhanced my life tremendously, & I thank you all.
oh no, so sorryDD's favorite hen was dead in the yard this morning. Body intact, no blood that I could see. She was on her back, wings out, snow angel style. Under a tree. It was fairly peaceful. She was only 2 years old, an australorp from the country feed store in a Cajun French town.
nopeits funny how birds do that
Hi!
Water receding yet?
I think I may be ok with the staggered hatch, I brought the humidity up last night and my 1 egg that's due to hatch 1st is already rocking and rolling, hopefully that means it will hatch soon, then I'll just take it out and be able to bring the humidity back down![]()
its cute!
