Morning y'all. River is down, I noticed yesterday. I'm sure it's down in Crowley by now. DH can tell me when he passes through to get our new pup.

Love an impulse dog. I realized last night that my pup-sized kennel has the world's meanest broody on six eggs. So I've got a fun job today. :/

I know few care, but for those that kinda do, Duckling baked sugar cookies today, and peed in the potty!

That's awesome! Son #3 got up from nap earlier in a really bad mood and so. #1 came in room and told me that son 3 peed in trash can!!!! I got up was like what in the world! Well he feel back asleep and later I asked him about it and he said he peed In toilet... I think he was dreaming and peed in trash can in living room instead of potty. Lol gota love them kids

Been fishing with my grandson a bunch lately......we've been doing pretty good with eating size walleyes.
I was determined to find them and catch them on artifical lures only this summer....and I did....I wish they were bigger but I'm not gonna complain....besides as Autumn rolls in the bigger ones will feed.

Dang I can't wait for the ice to form

Someone must have gotten something stuck up her nose. Going to the vet to get it lanced, and then get meds so there's no infection. Just my luck eh?

I'm so happy I get to start my vacation this week! Getting our 2 tier coop finished for our older bantams, getting our chickens reorganized to better suit their needs based on the number of chickens we have of each is going to be the fun part. We have a total of 5 roosters. 1 old English Bantam too, 1 Dom roo, 1 RIR roo, 1 golden sebright roo, and a sebright x BB Red cross roo. Got 2 hens for the dom, no hen for the RIR yet, 5 hens for the old English, 3 hens for the sebright, and 3 for the cross. And my little Leo is coming along great (he/she is a old English). I hate to say I have a favorite chicken, but I do. When you hatch your first egg and it is born on your birthday kinda makes it a tiny bit more special. 10 days old today. Yay!

I seldom throw live bait, myself. When I do, it's minnows. Takes 3-4 decent-sized tackle boxes/bags to carry all my "essential, no-need-even-going-without-it" gear, then I only used 2-3 all day. Can't use it if ya ain't got it.

Basically my guess at what went down is this: just before our vacation the dandilions were letting their seeds go out into the wild blue yonder. One probably got sucked in while she was breathing and lodged in there, then just festered. It's happened with foxtails, I'm not surprised if it happened with her and a dandilion fluff.

Its not fun getting it out.

Something went wrong with my hatch, one zipped so far then died, temp was 100 and humidity was 65, so that was fine, idk. I opened the egg anyway and it didn't have defects and nothing looked wrong. I have 7 more and hopefully they go much better or this may be my one and only time incubating eggs!
