I got a soft-shelled egg yesterday. Not sure if one of the hens had an OOPS or one of my May pullets is starting to lay, although it was a full-sized egg.

Sounds like an oops. pretty early for a May girl to start laying I would think.

My May 30 pullets aren't even close, nor are the April 22 pullets I picked up a couple days ago.

I'm thinking the same thing. It's happened before, but not recently. At least it didn't go to waste; I tossed it over the fence

You could still scramble it and feed it back.
