OFA and Penn-HIP are 2 certifications for hip and elbow dysplasia in dogs. So yes Phil, it is awesome news.

I candled a couple of different sets. This first one is going into lock down tomorrow night. Air cells looking good like this on all of them.


Here a few for my NYD hatch a long. Air cells are coming along pretty quick, so, upped the humidity a bit to slow it down.




The black dots are swimming around, very active.

Hmmmm................I raised Irish Setters in the early years. Hips was common in the breed then, but I've never heard of problems with elbows. Guess I've been away from it too long

We have one too. He's Piebald in coloring. Will have to find a photo..or two. Crazy little dogs.

On another note, one of our potential breeding males (GSD) had his Penn-HIP X-rays done today and probably the best set of hips I've seen. (Well except for my wife's!) He'll definitely grade excellent in OFA.
