You ever watch "Tanked" on the boob tube? They build, install, and stock custom tanks for customers all over the country; some famous, some everyday people with deep pockets.

Nope I haven't seen this one either. When I was a kid I had more tanks than the small pet store I used to work for. That's when I learned the power of electricity, heater broke in the tank. Fish nets in those days were all metal no plastic covering. Never forget that one.

Pick up plywood sheathing @ Lowes....check
Watch Orioles get beat by Yankees...check
Split some firewood...check
Work on building up & down on scaffold...check
Split more firewood til running out of gas...check
Unload plywood...check
Watch the 1st half of the Packers 4th preseason game...check

Close the cover & get horizontal, in that order...coming right up

Busy day. Should get you a good nights sleep

Anyone read about this?

A friend called me yesterday when he saw it on CNN. Another lady lost 68 colonies.

Southern Florida won't have any honeybees for a while.

I had 3 good hives one day and the next day the ground was covered with dead bees under one of the hives.
I guess the scouts sent the foragers to someone's yard that had sprayed for insects.
Big loss.
It used to be easy but between proliferation of pesticides/insecticides, GMO crops, small hive beetles, varroa mites, nosema, American and European foulbrood, ants, etc. - it's a tough gig.

The wholesale price of honey has gone up 1,000% in recent years.
If you can keep a hive alive from one year to the next, there can be a profit but 33% of all colonies are lost every year.

CCD? Your "beloved" Monsanto! :sick
