i didn't know you were a member!

My grandmother fondly jokes about her chickens growing up, how their rooster(s) were so evil, they couldn't collect the eggs with out bringing a stick, or a broom out to the hen house with them.

It really, really makes me appreciate that our roosters are so nice.

We used to have a rooster like that. My son was terrified of him and wouldn't go outside if he was out free ranging. He met his demise at the end of a long stick.

My family is going from CA to PA in Oct. I think I will advertise some Serama roosters and see if I can get any takers between here and there so they can be delivered instead of shipped!
