Good morning/afternoon everybody! Sorry to everyone with sick or killed chickies. Also

to anybody in a funk today. Sucks to feel like that-I know it all too well. Nice to see so many people loving and supportive of one another. Finally decided I couldn't pull off the "Ombre" hair anymore and back to my Barbie blonde as a pick me up. Unfortunately, only the chickens are here to appreciate it cause I'm not back to work until probably Saturday and the husband is working afternoons. Oh and for petes sake NO MORE SUPER CUTE DUCK PICS!!! or I will end up on a spontaneous random road trip to PA (and end up with Saphires too-whatever they are..) Hope everyone has a fabulous day

Speaking of mistakes - my wife was under the mistaken impression I was going to be working on the house when she saw the roller and wood sealant. She asked what I was painting. When I told her a chicken coop, she wasn't pleased.
I think I could see the steam pouring off of her.
Are you kidding me!!! I was "goal setting" yesterday and my husband was trying to motivate me & said he has a "surprise" planned for when I hit my goal... So I instantly reacted.. "A BARN!!!!???" He said no honey I was thinking more along the lines of a trip to someplace tropical. My heart actually sank a little

Get a Jack Russel; they're death on rats. I had to get on mine pretty hard when he first came here for killing one of my hens, but he was a fast learner, and never bothered them again. A Rat Terrier might be a good option, too, but I've no experience with them.
we have a terrier, but she doesn't go near the chickens. She's scared of them. She kills mice/rats.

Quote: she is belly up in the pic, it ate her neck and most of her head, left all bones, you can see her spine too

both chaos and my ducks got their curls three month mark and laying at four! it comes soon enough!! I like the little duckie stage!! kids have fun with them taking them in the tub and stuff. and I love holding them too.
Laying at FOUR? My ducks must be slacking!!

yes but right now I have no one to climb or reach rafters to grab me one, I already check my lamps to rig something, and he put them up high too. normally I would have no issue getting them, but I just cant right now. I am heating a cold hot pack in the microwave for her if the kid wouldnt have brought her crying to me I wouldnt fret about it, but Harmony said mommy please at least try to save her ugh.... I know I am mean but I will try for the kid.

she is sorta wistling lol she is breathing fine, seems like she crapped herself so I think the dogs did have her. so maybe internal issues I just cant see.

You're not mean....

If the lense is recessed, ie a collar around it (presumably to protect the lens from impact) the small end of the egg should stand alone, I'd think, leaving both hands free to operate the camera. Would it not?

What's gonna be keeping the candler upright?
If it's flat on the other end, no problem. If it's not, a small block of syyrofoam with a hole the diameter of the light should solve the problem
