How long do y'all think a goat can live solo? I've got someone interested in a wether as a pet, and they're hard to sell that way so I was thinking of pushing both to her. Babies are sold, so mama would be alone til I could get a friend. A week? Two?

I find that single goats do okay if they have someone around for company. A horse, chickens, a dog... something they can "visit" with.

Do you have any other animals around to entertain her?

Thanks. I'm still thinking it over. I've found lots of does for sale near me... This was my plan, but I was intending to wait til spring to start getting new girls. Although this way I'm not feeding boys I don't intend to keep...
