Anyone have an idea what this is? Some one was processing chickens and these bees/wasps were attacking anything with blood on it. (about 2/3 down the pic in center, on green leaf)
It is a wasp I think from the genus Vespula Read this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vespula
Benny, my man, I gotta disagree with you on this one. Our Yellow Jacket is roughly the size of a Honey Bee. Whatever that thing of Mike's is, it looks to be considerably larger. However, as far as I can tell, the markings are identical, so who knows?
Whit. I don't familiar with the wasps and hornets of the US, I am just guessing based on my knowledge.

i get it now, sorry! just try to keep them as upright as possible that would help the aircell, but if others are ok, concentrate on those
Pretty much all air cells jiggle, slightly. They don't slide around at all.. The eggs all show development of a dark spot/yolk now.... so I hesitate to mess with them too much, or move them around too much if leaving them alone would be best. I turned them this morning after candling, I just am not sure if leaving them alone, or turning gently 3x a day is okay at this point.
Loose air cells reduces the chance of hatching, but so does not turning. I think your best option at this point is to gently turn at least 3x a day.

Well guys bad news.. My Serama roo Stan did not look good to me so I called my breeder friend (who also happens to be a nurse) and rushed him over to her house to brainstorm. He did not make it. I stopped to get gas and looked in the box.. He was gone:hit I did however participate in my first poultry necropsy as the "photographer". I don't have any pics but they are posted on the poultry necropsy facebook page by her. So far no real answers. All my other birds are ok. I'm just bummed because I was working with him on the table days ago and he was doing great!!! So I won't get to show him as planned on 10/8 and his girlfriend is so sad by herself as am i..... Heartbreaking when you lose a pet...
oh no! I am so sorry :hugs
