IMHO much depends on breed, line, ages and management.
I've had some breeds of roosters that would attack any other rooster no matter what.
I've raised several flocks of these roosters together. However after they're away from each other and put back together things are different.
Usually each bird knows their place and will defer to the dominant ones. There have been some bloody battles from time to time but I just separate those birds and usually end up butchering one.
My place isn't huge but with most going into their own buildings at night and lots of territory to forage, it is pretty peaceful.
..............
Thanks. I've got two groups and each has a dominant cockerel. They've tried to fight through the fence before but usually one loses interest pretty quickly.

LOL  I am so feeling this now

Try losing an arm lol. I swear if one more person tells me "well at least you're right handed" I am going to ask them to come to the bathroom with me next time to pull my pants up and down for me cause it's real hard to do one handed!!!!!

For that they invented skirts!

Not sure what that is haha, It's a brooder on sticks that stays at around 20-30watts so it doesn't get too hot but if it's too close to them and for a long period I reckon it could burn. I just have to raise it on its little stick things every couple of days as they grow

Going to move them into a bigger brooder box that I have ready when they're a little bigger too. This one is just for when they're little buttons like how they are now
I love that type of brooder plate. It's cheap to run.
I think they're ready for bigger space now.

ugh LIZ hurry up!!!!! read one skip fiver!!!

Im going to get some warsh done!
Warsh, that's how most people pronounce it here.
The same people say harse, fark and highway farty far.
Not me. Everything else we pronounce is perfect.

I felt like that when I used to get colds from lack of sleep.

They seem to like sparring through the fence here more than when given access to each other. I have to keep an eye on them to make sure one isn't chasing another far and wide.

Well I read through all the posts from last night because then I am setting here with the quotes and wondering what was that about or what's that's supposed to mean so I have been reading through everything. I need to go get a brooder ready it's day 19 I wanted to do it yesterday but I got into something else. I just have to figure out what to do with the chicken supplies in my brooder box first.

:fl
