how many troughs at the bottom do u usually fill for incubation than hatching

There's no one answer to that. I usually put in a syringe of water in the smallest trough when it falls below 25%, and adjust as needed.... Go by what you've done before & what advice you've been given. 25 may not work for you; as I usually set green eggs. Hatching.... I fill em all and get it up mid 70s.

As Sally would say, humidity is not a set number... It is a tool for correct weight loss in an egg.

I don't think we reached 96 all summer. Congrats on the chicks! 


Brother lives near San Diego said it was 107 yesterday.

Went to check on chicks. Hen had them under her for the night. They weren't looking quite right but they could just be hot. Little worried didn't have the spark chicks have. Will see in the morning.
 
I'm getting that deja vu feeling again.
