INCUBATING w/FRIENDS! w/Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs No problem!

Got the guys voice mail, but he's usually answering phones late evening, and right after lunch. I'm assuming dinner time and morning he's out taking care of his animals. I need to go get the eggs from the post office so they can settle over night and be put in the incubator in the morning

I'm having a really hard time keeping the incubator stable though, so I'm not sure how well this hatch is going to go. It jumps between 98-103 based on the temp of the room, and I have an almost impossible time keeping the room temp stable.
Could you move it to a smaller room or closet? Also add a heat sink.

do you have heat sinks in it? rocks marbles etc

LOL
It's a hooverbator - with all the parts. I'm not sure I like it, but we'll give it a shot and see how it does. I can always try to move it to my closet, where the temp is more stable over-all, but then I'll forget to turn the eggs. :( Although it DOES have an automatic turner, I just was worried about breaking the silkie eggs, or jostling them too much as shipped eggs. I was going to turn them by hand, upright in an egg carton this time.

I have a HovaBator as well and love it.

It makes more sense to use a couple of water bottles, I don't have access to rocks like that. (or maybe I do.... I'm not sure, I have some peagravel outside, I can see if I can go get my son to scoop me up a cup.)

My crazy work week is about to get even crazier. My events start today. Smallest group is today. Dinner for 60 tonight. Tomorrow, starts with breakfast at 6:30. Followed by lots of smaller meetings. Afternoon large meeting of about 150. Dinner tomorrow night for 260. Saturday begins with a HUGE breakfast for 500!!!!

Ugh... I need some sleep and it hasn't even begun!

Is it the incubator's temp reading or your own thermometer?
