I'm looking at some of the Saipan Game Fowls... my husband keeps saying he thought they'd be a nice addition to a backyard flock since they are so mean/predator savvy.

I just am not 100% sold on a 3 foot tall chicken that may not like us. I'd hate to have to shoot one if they try to attack me...or beat it with a stick.

Yea but can you imagine the chicken dinner that would put on the table?

I also want to know how old a "my months" is.

I hate to say this, but there's a reason my teenage son isn't allowed on forums...... ^^^ the above communication examples are 1 reason out of 500000000 billion.

Any of you watch South Park? Last couple were about social media.

Penedesencas and other large Mediterranean breeds like Minorcas, Spanish and Catalans are great for predators.
They don't attack because they don't want to be around you.
In Texas they would fare well as would Cubalayas and Fayoumis.

Sometimes my eyes glaze over. Perhaps he just needs to slow down. I've seen some well written posts from him.

Also a great reason why I shouldn't be allowed on forums

True.... but a turkey would do better. :O

I'm pretty sure me having liquid bandage on hand, is solely because of you. :p

So cute. And gaining weight now! I never knew they lost wt before they gained, even though they get taller & so forth. Thanks for sharing these progressive photos.
It can be really nerve wracking waiting for them to gain, but as long as there yolk bellies shrink, they peck food/water, and poop, they will usually be back up to hatch weight by day 5-8. Chicken chicks and ducklings seem to start gaining much earlier. -Kathy
