A few miles outside of seattle.

Grew up with horses/chickens. These days, they've taken all those properties and turned them into multiple houses :(

Kind of glad i'm not there to see it anymore.
I lived out in eastern WA for about 4 years when I was younger. Up in the Cascades was beautiful.

I can't decide if that's insanely brave or just insane....

You are cray cray girlie!! We had a #50 of #100 Harley Road King Custom with a chameleon paint job. All chromed out and just gorgeous. It was good times. Traded it for our RV. Much easier to sleep on....in.

Miss our bike tho.

Y'all I must lay back down. Enjoyed chatting with y'all and we shall continue later. Y'all have a blessed day!!
God bless,
Glory
I am crazy. I try not to think about my bike. I have to let it go after a year. I have not fought for it, and I won't. But I really miss it. Oh, man do I miss it.

We always went camping up on the East side of the state. Water was cold, but beautiful, the summers were dry and hot.... and the ticks. My first experience prior to coming to Texas, was a deer tick on a dog from camping.

Now, ticks are a part of our daily shower time checks living in Texas. *sighs*

You should get guineas. I hear they are great for tick control.

Quote: Snakes keep the house mouse population in check here; still have some, but not quite as many. Don't know that I wouldn't prefer the mice over the snakes, but we can't seem to get rid of them. Don't see them that often, but saw one a couple weeks ago; finding shed skins all the time!

I had a snake in my house not too long ago.

I would rather deal with the mice. The snakes I'm sure eat plenty outside... but there's a LOT of mice here.

We seem to have an abundance of small snakes on our property.

After watching them on youtube, and hearing the noises they make, I'll stick with the sounds of birds I can handle.

I actually like hearing a rooster crow.
I like hearing a rooster crow as well. Probably why I have 6 of them.

I'm with you on the snakes. It takes me at least 30 minutes to work up the nerve to go in my crawlspace. Was in there back a few years ago and as I was crawling around getting to the back corner of the house I happened to look up and no more than a foot from my face was a shed wrapped around the dryer vent face part hanging down staring at me. EHHH not a fan.

Caught a baby one in the house on a mouse glue trap. Pretty sure it was coming in after the mice but it didn't make it out. We seem to get a new batch that comes in each year when they harvest the fields around our house.
