do you guys think they are ok one more day or should I try to let them free range?? its a hot mess!!!! but I am worried about the bigger birds and predators since I am surrounded by woods...
Turn 'em out. If nothing else, at least their feet will be dry.

I don't suppose you know anyone with a bucket loader?

These turkey's are goof balls. They sit in there and chirp and chirp and chirp, and when I go in to check on them, they get really silent, and then fall asleep when I'm holding them. :hmm

They appear to like to be held. They however, fall all over themselves. They are some of the clumsiest babies I've ever seen. :hmm

Quote: My buddy & I have access to 10,000 acres for hunting; primarily deer. We've offered to help the farmer / owner whenever he needs it. He's never asked for help, but a least we've offered. A quick & effective way to smooth the ruffled feathers of those "hunters"...don't give them access in the future, either.

Any way you can partially fill 5 gal buckets with one hand & pour them out in the run, spread it with the back of a dirt rake? I don't really think you're going to have a lot of luck hiring someone for manual labor; not these days.

Sounds good to me. Howbout a coop to put them in too?
can be done, currently they have a dog house they refuse to use, they sleep under my crabapple tree, in the woods
