re-reading it now. i wanted to be hands off but the airsacs have had me worried since i lost 4 to blood rings in this batch

I read it, but now I'm concerned about how to check to make sure they are in the right position so I can continue to leave them alone.

Would it be that bad for them, to check to make sure they've pipped the air sacs, so I can rest in peace and leave them be for another day or two?

Okay, one egg is about to hatch. baby's moving and you can clearly see it's beak in the airsac.

The other one, I think may be a goner. It's not moving and there's veins all spidery all over the place. It's still warm though, so I put it back and will give it a couple more days, just to see if it needs a little more time... but it looks about the same as when I candled it on day 18... so that's not a good sign, right?

I went to close up my coop last night that my broody and her chicks are in, found that my broody was sitting on 3 eggs. This is not an option. I took the eggs and she got right mad at me. Is it normal for a broody to go back to being broody before her chicks are even ready to fly the coop?

I would say... yes, depending on the broody. LOL
