She have a single comb, yellow shanks, and brown egg
She could be a white rock , but thous have a red ear lobe not green! She could be a mix breed!
She has a single comb and yellow eggs. I think she is a mixed breed. We got er from a feed store as a leghorn

I have 5 living chicks after a temperature spike caused me to change my 15 watt bulb, and what I thought was an 11 watt turned out to be a 25. I went to bee club last monday and came home to find my homemade incubator at 113 degrees. of 18 eggs 6 hatched, probably the ones at the outer perimeter during the spike.

I am getting another dozen eggs. I need a thermostat that isn't hardwired to a light, but that I can plug a light into? or will I have to hardwire it. I built a larger incubator for the eggs, finished on Thursday, just in time for the first pips. 2 fixtures, 15 watt in one 11 watt in the other. Vents at the bottom to help manage excess humidity. anyway, does anyone know where I can find the right thermostat?

Leghorn lay only wait eggs and have wait earlobe and yellow shanks. They can have a single comb Or Rose comb. I think that she have some EE in it!

Rhode island white? It has a very similar body type to a RIR.
The body type says Leghorn to me. The green ear lobes are closer to white than they are red. White ear lobes are an other leghorn indicator. Yellow legs would indicate leghorn. But if she is laying a brown egg, that says she's most likely a mix. I have birds from this spring hatch: EE roo x rose comb brown leghorn. They all have white ear lobes and yellow legs. Their body shape is heavy for leghorn, but their feather coloring is identical to that of their mothers. (Partridge with salmon breast). They lay either blue or very light brown colored eggs. So, I'm guessing that the bird in question is a mix.

The only gear I took was the tiniest backpack ever, a couple cans of tuna, crackers, water, and my rifle, along with my strap that goes across my front from shoulder to waist with my ammunition. My mom says I'm a mountain woman, and she says I need to move to Alaska...

I threw the elk over my shoulders and trooped back, taking a break every 5 miles. Hiked out almost 25 miles.
You packed a bull elk out 5 miles at a time, on your shoulders? Holy Bull, Batman!
Are you an NFL fullback, weightlifter, Amazon, or just plain Nuts!!!

14 hatched, including egg yolk chick who seems pretty normal so far, just not a big belly since he didn't absorb the yolk.

No more external pips that I can tell. I doubt I'll have any more pip, but I'm leaving them in anyway till Tuesday probably. Everyone else seems norMal and healthy so far.
