Good news... Bad news...Good news: I have 6 more BCM eggs at the PO for pick up tomorrow! These are FREE eggs from the breeder I have had horrible luck hatching from. Bad news: they were sent out LAST Tuesday and have been "in transit" from Arkansas since Wednesday morning! Any advice? Just set them and pray I guess... I hate it though cause I don't like hatching small groups in the winter and these guys (if any hatch) will be two weeks behind everyone else.
I'd set them and candle around day 5 to see if there's any development and go from there. They're free... so there's nothing to lose but possibly something to gain. Go for it!!!

do what you would do for any other shipped, except set them right away, dont bother settling them, they are getting too old.
Yeah... what you said!

Do you know I have six puppies in a wash basket at my feet right now, they are all sleeping soundly too!  But they sure werent a few minutes ago, trying to climb out of it.

I couldn't keep track of six.. they must be young..

@Ren2014 did you ever give us the update? I have 1000 more post to go but I am thinking and not remembering again. you had three and what of the other eggs, and didnt you have chicks in too?
Total of 5 hatched. The 5th one was rough. She pipped but didn't zip. She sat their so long it looked like her egg tooth had dissolved. I ended up assisting and then bleeding from the umbilical cord. Treated with a dab of flour, corn starch and styptic powder. She was very weak. I kept her in the incubator and gave Poly Vi Sol. She perked up and the next day I put her with the others. Rousey is her name because she is a fighter and I am a Rhonda fan
