lovelyHow is your day going on?
Good morning. .
good news on your lungs phil...not yet lungs are better though.
It's still making ice here so soon I hope
the recipe is very simple, I was the general manager of one store in Winnipeg.
1/2 cup white or brown sugar
1/2 cup cinnamon
3 cups finely crushed corn flakes.
Mix all ingredients together until very well blended.
spread out on cookie sheet.
scoop ice cream and form into ball by rolling on cutting board or counter.
roll ice cream ball through sugar, cinnamon and cornflakes mixture until well coated and place on cookie sheet in freezer for two hours minimum.
heat oil until 350-375 degrees, quickly remove ice cream ball from freezer and dip in hot oil with a slotted spoon for 10-15 seconds.
the key is to have the ice cream balls as frozen as possible, usually 24 hours in a deep freezer works well
you can reduce the ingredients to make a smaller amount, or simply freeze the left over topping and thaw it when you need to coat some more ice cream.
