Now we have a face to put with the name. As a kid I had a 'Big Red' - attack rooster supreme to everyone but me. Messed with the muscovy drake one time too many and met his demise. I was the only mourner.

Thanks, Frindizzle! I am well too, just waiting for dinner to finish up cooking and winding down for the night. Finished mucking out the coop a few min ago, its been so moist outside, it was starting to smell mucky irregardless of my deep litter method. Nothing too exciting to contribute, but then again, neither are any of the chores ive been working at all day! waiting to lock down my eggs in a day, and already shopping for more to take their place in the bator!! Not good i suppose, but completely impossible to avoid the lure.

I have a question: day 9 my khakis, and i have two that are growing but the air cell is detached. I keep them propped up in canning jar lids so the air cells dont run across the center of the eggs. Should i quit turning those? I know they likely wont make it in all probability, but i keep hoping they will if only i am even more gentle than i already am...

Mine wont go out the rain unless i haul her out by the scruff. Chicken turds are another story. She hunts them down with propensity and seemingly always after a bath, and always finds a way to share her "find" with me by rolling all over my covers. It seems like im giving dog baths atleast three times weekly. Oi.

Thanks! I (and my daughter) have wanted salmon favorelles foreeeeever and had ordered some over a year in advance from sandhill preservation, but they didnt hatch enough to fulfill our order, so we are both super excited to have salvaged some of these from really roughly shipped eggs. (3 out of 12)
