The reason I have so many eggs to incubate, my hens 18 layers, some just coming off molt some not old enough to lay laid 11 the other day, 7,then 8, then 11, then 9 today...
 
Got this hatch, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Lockdown is tomorrow. The last time I candled 14/15 we alive and wiggling. The other one wasn't fertile. Super excited. I hope I dont have any quitters.
 
That's what happens when you sell them and doing breeder replacements.

I am currently breeding, or trying to if my current Roo figures it out, Silkies for spring sale.
Not much demand for birds up north during the dead of winter, but I will be starting my amaracaunas and olive eggers in late February, early March for the spring as well. I wish I had a winter market like you do! :drool
