I built one of those for my 4 week old chicks. It works great for them since they're pretty feathered out.

I think she's looking for the electric "plates". I've seen them advertised
I highly recommend the heating plate brooders. Don't think pads would work too well in a cool or cold environment. Chicks like to be warmed from the top down, which is more like a hen would warm them... not from the ground up.

A small OEGB hen probably weighs about 500 grams, so the minimum dose of .2 mg/ kg would be:

.5 x .2 / 18.7 = 0.005 ml, which is almost I'm possible to give.

That max dose I would give one that size is 1mg/kg which is:
.5 x 1 / 18.7 = 0.02 ml, which is about the size of a grain of rice.

This 1mg/kg is an amount that pigeon fanciers use.

the almost impossible amount, like end of a toothpick size?

Just weighed my OEGB and tried to give just 0.03ml, but slipped and gave about twice that. Ivermectin is safe, so I am not worried. FYI, 0.05 ml is about the size of a bb.
