That's so crazy?! Hope you are able to figure it out.

Thanks. As I said, the timing couldn't have been worse. He died at noon 3 days before they could do a necropsy.

I was torn whether to do it myself but all I could have done was look at organs. I don't have a good microscope and don't have a good way to do cultures.

   I am really desperate for a decent calibration Article for both thermometers and hygrometers!!!!!!!  I think you would do amazing writing that for us and adding images!!  Education is your thing !!!!  You are great at it!!    I have so much other stuff I need to do first!  But I am slowly getting there!   SEE BELOW QUESTION TOO!

 I pray things are better with you two!
@rossfam06

Air cells are not marked and its hard for me to see what you had at lockdown.  pea embryos are thicker and if they die early the membrane wont thin, this one may not have been ready, but my guess is that he looks large.     READ HERE:  the quoted spots post #35770

GOOD on the ones that did hatch!  Feb is just around the corner ha ha ha

:eek: :eek: :eek:

when I assisted I had much better assists with Bacitracin ointment,  it lets the veins viens, keeps the membrane from sticking to the chicks head, and keeps moist much much longer! @casportpony

again I cant really see air cell or size of chick...

Sorry for your loss... You might be okay. I had one die on Friday, I shipped it on Monday for a Wednesday delivery and they were able to find the cause of death. Obviously not ideal, but it can be done.

for hygrometers I put the meter in an exposed place away from water sources outside. An hour later I check accuweather for the humidity in my zip code. I figure that's close enough.

I kept it in the low 30s till I got it to the lab. Then she refrigerated it. She thought they would be able to find out a lot in spite of the delay.
