Hey guys! Aah I wish I had more time to be on but there all this scholarship and adult stuff to do ugh.
Anyway, quick question, I'm doing the test run for my incubator today, I'm hoping to set tomorrow. However I pulled my digital thermometers out of storage and they were half a degree to a degree off, is there a way to calibrate these and if so how?

I've no idea but if you have a model number of it you might Google it. Did that with a timer once all I did was put in a number that was on it and bingo there it was all the instructions I needed to set the thing.

Did you ever mention whether you finished the 2nd story of the condo, or did your "down time" put the skids to the construction schedule?

I don't know if I mentioned finishing it or not... but it is complete. I don't have any pics of the complete assembly, but I'll try to get a pic or two in the morning. I think I'll build a water system out of PVC and horizontal nipples as my next (and probably last) upgrade to this brooder.

I might try that if I have a chance, other wise I might just go with it and stick to the higher reading one, when and doubt it'll just be a day late hatch.

I wormed the flocks last week, and ten days are up tomorrow. I tossed the first few days. Okay, I brought them in the house, and thought about incubating, then tossed them in the trash or against the chicken wire to keep from tossing them in the incubator. I now have just over a dozen eggs, and will probably have 16 for tomorrow. I will get the incubator back out tomorrow. I hope I actually get some to hatch this time. I will try not to candle so much though!

I was about to order ducklings today, but really thought I needed to wait a little longer. Now it looks like I will be getting two young white layer ducks. I thought that they meant Pekin. I am still lost as to how this hybrid is supposed to be so great but it at least means that I will have more ducks for my drake, and I won't have to mess with the post office.

I'm hoping to be done with PO as well. Too stressful. Won't candle as much either. As I see it the bright lights bother my eyes so it must bother them as well.
