@Sally Sunshine the sole bantam Phoenix eggs is still alive, if it makes it for a few more days should I stop turning it early? I really don't have much hope for it, it's CAM still isn't completely covering the inside of the shell and its aircell is very saddled on one side so it looks similar to a draw down. I'm thinking it might have a better chance if I stop turning on day 16 or 17 and if I leave it upright for hatching with a damp rag in a circle around it(not touching it though) to keep its area especially humid.

Thoughts?
sounds like a good plan @Saris how are the new chickens?

Stick shifts haven't been a standard for a long time but they are something everybody should know how to drive.

Quote: I'd plug it back in a couple days before your eggs get there, just so you can get the temp exactly where it needs to be.

Good grief! I temperatures are all over the place in this incubator tonight! The last time I looked, the digital said 104 and the other one said 110!!
Now I am at 99 in 108.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say something ain't right.

My last two cars have been sticks but our mini van is an automatic. Since I don't have to deal with traffic I like the standard, if I dealt with traffic I'd go back to an automatic. Although we still have to turn a key in all of our cars.

Why is it I only come online right before bed??? Anyway, dropped in to say hi and point out that someone wrote an article on herbs in nesting boxes and how I laughed when I saw it. Didn't we mention this near the beginning of the thread? XD
I put citronella in my nest boxes. Not a single red mite issue since I've been doing that. Plan to do an aromatic blend, but need to pay my procrastinator's anonymous dues first.
