Put it back in the hatcher to see if it can make some progress on it's own, but will help it out in a few hours if it doesn't

@LocalYokel i dont think my two quail are going to hatch either , i know my temp ran kind of low lik it kept going between 98 and 99 so i changed the setting to try and get it closer to the 100 /101 range so im hoping they are just going to be a late hatch i just placed some of the frizzled in the lock down bator too im hoping , this is my first batch in the new incubator so im nervous

that's the best way probably. As London as you're peeing downhill and with the wind. I doubt anyone would argue the wind thing. Well maybe r Kelly.
He don't take crap from nobody
I'm never wrong. You can ask me.
...
I'm pretty old but we used to call the toilet paper in Germany 'John Wayne paper'. Rough and tough and doesn't take crap off of anybody.
It had the strangest texture, like stiff, thick, rough, crepe paper.

By the way, TP manufacturers, when they put a pattern or pictures on TP, they are printed so they are upright with the roll over or away from the wall.

Well of course whites...I remember buying 45's and eight tracks
We had 78s and 33s
We also had a wire recorder that we recorded singing on.

Here's one. When washing silverware, do you put the handles down or up in the strainer until dry?
wife and I disagree on this. I do handles down because I know the strainer doesn't get cleaned like it should so the water drains away from the tines. That's just me.

..

When I first moved out on my own, I worked with a group of people that liked practical jokes. It was a ski resort and we had a management office - we got to keep our ski stuff in there, there was a bathroom and changing area, lockers etc. Only 5 or 6 of us had access. ...
Were you a ski instructor? What resort?

Supper made!! had to run for my car at the shop dang PA and inspection and emissions chit end of rant after a $320. inspection!!
sorry we don't have any of that crap here....just a way for the state to fleece you....$$$....Phil
We do in MO but not in IL. Over there, parts are always falling off of cars and smoking their way down the road.

Wow... I finally got caught a break this evening. Did chicken stuff, and realized that I've been neglecting my saltwater friends... so I had to go into the dungeon and do some catch-up work.
th.gif

I had to clean filters and protein skimmer, mix 30 gallons of saltwater, check additives, maintenance on on pump, etc...

Here's my "laboratory"...

Very nice. Looks like my incubator monstrosity and my chicken water system. I'll try to get pictures.

Sally was it here or EHAL that someone who hatched from pullet eggs said they lost egg size over time?
It may have been someone else but I posted that in the Zodiac HAL thread.

This hen has laid her ninth new egg after the chicks shown have been weaned and has now gone broody again. The chicks in the picture are just over five weeks of age. While you can't make a hen go broody, you can provide the right stimulus that encourages broodiness.
What breed is she?

How about a video of the 125 instead? I'll have to see if I have any of the 40...
Cool video.

HOW TO CANDLE EGGS

There are two different ways to effectively candle eggs. One pertains to shipped eggs and the other to non-shipped eggs.

When candling shipped eggs FOLLOW this:
1. With a flashlight ALWAYS keep the eggs upright, large/fat/air cell up, its best to leave them in the egg carton. ALWAYS candle from the FAT end/air cell so it shines DOWN through that open space into the egg, AGAIN, put flashlight on FAT end/aircell and hold egg upright/fat end up and do not turn or rotate egg, rotate flashlight!

2. When candling shipped eggs extra care must be taken to not dislodge the aircell when candling.

When candling non-shipped eggs FOLLOW this:
1. With a flashlight or other candling aperture hold the egg at a slight angle, large end to the light. Making sure your fingers don’t block the light, turn the egg slowly until either you see something or you’re certain there’s nothing to see.

2. Again candle carefully so as not to dislodge anything.

This is a good short article on reasons to NOT candle too much.
http://blog.mypetchicken.com/2013/03/31/5-reasons-why-egg-candling/

FIRST IMAGE....
is only to show you how they cup the end of the flashlight in their palm to protect egg and send light down into egg.

THE SECOND IMAGE shows you how to hold the egg UPRIGHT and candle down into it!
AGAIN, ALWAYS keep fat end up, at candles when they are messed up from shipping!

To candle, one must have eggs they can see into.

EGG delivery anyone?

I wonder if those are balut eggs.

Well, that's one way to stay warm on the motorcycle! I prefer lots of cow hide and snow pants.
I do transport live animals on the Harley. Dogs, fish, chickens and turkeys so far.

Keep your goats safe. Always make them wear their helmets.

Checked the hatcher before work and removed 25 CCL chicks. 4 more were out of their shells and drying when I left. And the first black sexlink is out too.

I sold a bunch of chicks and poults last night, so tonight I will be consolidating some groups to make room for the new chicks.

Tomorrow I really need to muck out the turkey shed. Let's just say it would be mighty unpleasant to slip and fall in there now, thanks to the nasty weather we had last weekend. On the bright side, there is no dust to inhale.

this made me want a cig again   yeeeekkkkk ugggg

good!!   it will hurt not turning eggs most between 1-14 days old  you can get away with 10-14 perhaps!   and as long as you have time to make humidity changes needed for the remaining eggs to get correct weight loss

awwwww  so she wasnt strong enough or she drown?

I'm thinking not strong enough
Still had veins in the membrane
Looked about halfway done/absorbed
