all but 2 are are under 1 year. I got a black copper marans in October my friend also got one. Here has been laying for a month and nothing from mine. Same feed, same lighting. The two I got a couple days ago laid for 5 days and then not a single one since.
Beats me...not sure what's going on. You might should ask Sally in the morning.

@Sally Sunshine

I've never grafted my plants. Looked into it. And have bought grafted plants. I had mixed results....some years are growing season is not very good. I've actually seen snow in every month...so when you get snow in July and August don't matter what your growing. My point in saying that is that the year I planted the grafted tomato plants was one of those crappy growing seasons. I may try again. My friend actually has the seed for the root stock.

Same here on growing season. My brother and I raised several grafted varieties one year. Did super well got some real beauties gave away pounds of tomatoes. Very next year a bust. Going to try to get them started earlier this year. I've a Chinese variety that did really well last year more shaped like a paste but cherry like in flavor. Going to go with it again hope it does as well. Was setting when others wouldn't. Brother did not like it because it was too small. About 2" long. Better than nothing and no waste.
Does your friend like the Maxifort variety for rootstock?

Hmm...not sure what going on. Are any of them eating the eggs? I've had b it's do that in the past and was never able to break them of the habit. They are no longer with us ;)

I also put vitamins in their water during the winter months. It comes in a powder form from the feed store.
