I know what you mean! I have over 60 varieties of tomato seeds. Have you checked out tomatofest or baker creek? They have wonderful varieties and they send an extra seed packet with your order.

At many Trader Joes (Not in all states) the fertile eggs are clearly marked "FERTILE EGGS" on the label. I think they are Hy-line whites, a layer Leghorn-type bird. They won't breed true, but will be excellent layers.

Wait did you say broody hatch. Mine seem to know the dead ones as she'll kick them out. At least that's what I'm assuming she's doing as they are always blanks.

Yeh, but my broody didn't kick any of the 2 doz. eggs out.... And 90% were infertile due to removal of nasty roo shorty after set date and some sneaky hens.
