My recently built cabinet incubator had too much temperature gradient between the top and bottom because it is 4 ft high (holds 6 trays vs a Sportsman that holds 3). I decided to splurge on a high quality proportional temp controller and they did the trick. It has 2 independent "zones" so it can control a separate heater in thw bottom and now the temps are within a half degree of each other !
Time to load up the rest of the trays. I set 288 chicken eggs last night, and 21 turkey eggs tonight. Hatching season is in high gear now.
