A person from one of the Facebook groups I'm in found a chick under a broody that has 2 puncture wounds from being pecked as it was hatching. Is there anything she should do besides iodining them? They aren't currently bleeding. The chick is now inside and warm.

Sounds like they have already done about everything they can. Might get it on some electrolytes and probiotics.

Had 78 of the 100 hatch but also have 27 that went into lockdown last night ad hatch Tuesday and am setting 6 Rhodebar and 6 backyard mix tonight

Ok so I don't know what I did but out of 6 fully developed eggs I have one lone survivor....two pipped in the normal location and died, one was moving around till day 22 and is now not moving, didn't even pip...the other two just did nothing ...what causes such late term deaths on hatch day?
